Best Schools in Hemel Hempstead

Hemel’s schools are a New Town system: neighbourhood primaries feeding a handful of large secondaries, plus West Herts College on the Marlowes.

The Hemel Hempstead School, Longdean, Astley Cooper and JFK Catholic cover most families. Kings Langley School pulls the south. Housing growth north of the town is the admissions wild card.

Applications run through Hertfordshire County Council. Open evenings still matter more than a screenshot of a league table.

We do not publish a fake league table. We map the options, the admissions authority, and the honest logistics. Ofsted and HCC remain the official sources.
