A historic village on the River Gade and Grand Union Canal, once home to a royal palace, now a popular commuter stop between Hemel and Watford.

The Saracen’s Head and neighbours cover the roast. Canal pubs toward Apsley cover the walk. Nobody comes here for a tasting menu, and that is fine.
